Dr. Maria Hancock recently joined WarrenAnimal Hospital after graduating from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, in2015. As a New Jersey native she is excited to begin her career with the compassionate team at Warren Animal Hospital. Studying in Scotland, where there are more sheep than people in some places, has provided her with a variety of experiences ranging from small animal medicine and surgery to large animal medicine, including assisting with several lambing seasons! Her interests include surgery, nutrition, shelter medicine and geriatric care, but she’s ready to grow in many aspects of veterinary medicine. In her free time she enjoys playing the guitar and exploring the outdoors with a run or a hike. She is a happy owner of a senior beagle called Candi and the recent addition of a loving, one-eyed kitten called Uno. She also holds a special place in her heart for goats and is looking forward to the day when she has a few of her own.
